Care Entertainment was established in 2013 by Matthew West, a qualified solicitor with family links to the entertainment industry.

The idea was conceived from regular visits to his grandmother in a residential dementia care home. On such occasions, he often encountered the familiar sight of residents sitting unstimulated in a communal lounge, staring blankly at a television screen or sleeping.
 

Occasionally, an entertainer was invited to sing and the residents were immediately uplifted. The sombre mood changed to one of smiles, toe-tapping, clapping and enthusiastic dancing for those that were able.

The benefits of live entertainment were clear and the need for a regular and varied choice of good quality, interactive entertainment was obvious.

It was also clear that the carers had busy and demanding jobs. All their time and energy was devoted to providing a high quality of care to the residents.

Care Entertainment was initially created as the ideal solution; a service for all the entertainment requirements of Care Homes and their residents.

We have since grown from strength to strength with a fast increasing client list, including the some of the biggest Care Providers in the UK, as shown below.

We have seen a large expansion of our client base, including day centres, residential care homes & centres supporting younger adults with learning disabilities & mental health conditions, sheltered & extra care housing blocks and more.

We have also seen an increasing number of private booking enquires, providing entertainment for all types of family celebrations and parties.
